This beautiful original mixed media painting is an ode to childhood play at the rock pools at Bungan Beach in Sydney. At twilight the sun snuck over the hill casting purple light in the rock pools on hot summer evenings. This is where my love of the ocean in all its magical states originated.
This painting is 20cms x 25cms and is artist grade watercolour paper mounted on a wooden cradleboard and is ready to hang in that lovely reading nook or sunroom. This is primarily a watercolour painting utilising artist grade watercolours with art markers.
The painting is sealed to protect it from UV and dust and the wooden cradleboard sides are finished with a natural wax to protect and highlight the wood grain. I do recommend that you do not hang any paintings with watercolour in direct sunlight as it is very likely, even if sealed to fade over time. You can clean the painting with a duster when required.
